Greno Industries Announces Manufacturing Day 2026 Plans

September 24, 2026 – Scotia, New York (USA) – Manufacturing Day is returning to Greno Industries, a leader in precision machining and manufacturing. On Friday, October 2nd, Greno will welcome high school students from Capital Region BOCES, college students from HVCC, and young adults from the SEAT Center. Partners and civic leaders will also join this year’s “Greno-Palooza 2” event.

Across the United States, Manufacturing Day is held on the first Friday in October. This annual event is designed to change outdated stereotypes about manufacturing and inspire young people to explore skilled careers. By connecting with local schools, community colleges, and civic leaders, manufacturers can address their workforce challenges and work toward filling open technical roles.  

At Greno Industries, Manufacturing Day begins with registration and introductions from 9:30 – 10:00 AM. Students will then see shop floor demonstrations of precision machining and manufacturing from 10:00 – 11:30 AM. Afterwards, Manufacturing Day participants will enjoy games, a celebration, and food truck fare from Little Big Fatz Fish Fry & Scoop Shack from 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM. 

Manufacturing Day 2026 is a team effort, and Greno Industries is proud to partner with the Capital Region Workforce Development Board, the Capital Region Workforce Development Institute, and the Center for Economic Growth (CEG) – the New York Manufacturing Extension Partnership center for the Capital Region.

Greno Industries will also welcome partners from Capital Region BOCES, Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC), and the SEAT Center – a non-profit organization that connects underrepresented young people to meaningful work. Angelo Santabarbara, a member of the New York State Assembly representing District 111, has also confirmed his attendance.
